s=
Which app you shared from
A number for the app or platform you shared from. The numbers vary, the hint doesn’t.
Every time you copy or share a post, X quietly tags the link with who shared it and which app they used. Unsnitch strips that tag before the link leaves your hands. Free, open source, and it never touches the network.
How it works
s=
A number for the app or platform you shared from. The numbers vary, the hint doesn’t.
t=
A unique token linked to the account that shared it. Whoever opens the link can be connected back to you.
a=
X has started adding a= as well. Another identifier that rides along with every share.
Unsnitch removes every query parameter on X links except the few that search needs (q, f, pf, lf). Hashes, paths and every non-X link are left untouched.
Try it
Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere; this page makes no network requests.

On desktop, the extension cleans links automatically: X’s “Copy link”, the share sheet, Ctrl/Cmd+C, and even the address bar.
Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers, plus Firefox 128+.
Android

Every line is on GitHub. The cleaner itself is ~80 lines; the whole extension is ~600.
No analytics, no remote code, no servers. Links are cleaned on your device and never leave it.
Only storage, contextMenus and clipboardWrite. It runs on x.com and twitter.com, nowhere else.
No npm packages, no bundler, no build step to load it. What you read is what runs.
